Assalamualaikum,

My name is Muntaha Rashid, and I am writing this with a very heavy heart for my father, Mr. Abdul Rashid Bhat, a resident of Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir.

My father has been battling Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD – ESRD) for the last 13 years. For the past 5 years, he has been on regular dialysis, and due to his severe health condition, he now requires three dialysis sessions per week. The cost of these sessions and associated treatment has risen to almost ₹50,000 per month, which has become extremely difficult for us to manage.

A few months ago, he was diagnosed with multiple hemorrhages in the stomach. Because of this, he needed strong gastric medicines and a higher dose of baclofen. His condition worsened, and he is currently admitted at SKIMS (Government Hospital). My father was the only earning member of our family. After so many years of continuous medical treatment, our savings are exhausted and we are now struggling to bear even the basic medical and hospital expenses.
